2nd Birthday Party round-up |

 Our 2nd Birthday party fundraiser was a night of Israeli dancing at it's best. Attended by just under 100 people the hall was filled with great spirit, great atmosphere, great music and great company. Before supper we watched a short heart-warming video presentation on 'Friends of Beit Halochem" which gave everyone a good understanding about the work this charity carries out. Before the feast we were entertained by talented Israeli singer Avner Levav. He sang,accompanying himself with his guitar, to many of the songs in our repertoire that we could dance along to. A wonderful 1st time experience for many dancers. Belinda and Richelle are DELIGHTED to advise that total NET proceeds from this year's party which we have donated to the "Friends of Beit Halochem". was $1,230!!! At our 1st Birthday celebration, we raised just over $1150(net) for Kibbutz Kishorit. At one of our parties in our first year of operation, we raised $750 (net) for Magen David Adom (MDA)Also, we have donated $170 to the Breast Cancer Association which were proceeds from a raffle we held at our special Mother's Day party. In 2007, we also raised $300 in our raffle for the National Breast Cancer FoundationTHANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO ATTENDED OUR VERY MEMORABLE 2nd BIRTHDAYPARTY AND TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE SO GENEROUSLY DONATED TO THIS WONDERFUL CAUSE AND TO ALL THE OTHER CAUSES WE HAVE BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH.

Special thanks again to Claude, Tom and Gracie for the ingenious Red, White and Black theme decorations (the ZOOZ colours) as well as all their help behind the scenes. A big thank you also to Helena and Robin Cyprus for donating the magnificent Unger's birthday cake and to all our other loyal dancers who helped out with food preparation and cleaning up on the night.
