ZOOZ Israeli Dancing School - August 2008 Bulletin

Saturday afternoon - commencing September 20th - yes, finally, by popular request, a NEW beginners class ON THE WEEKENDS!!
Where: rear of St John's, 5 Finch Street, East Malvern (very close to Dandenong Rd opposite Caulfield Plaza)

When: 1.30 pm sharp.

Both of these NEW beginners classes are geared to those people who have not previously completed our Level 1 course for NEW Beginners. Our beginners course is also helpful for those who have already been dancing a while but need a refresher of all the basic steps. Thursday morning is also excellent for anyone who hasn't danced for a long time and wants to ease back into it slowly.



FIRST CLASS IS FREE. Thereafter, ZOOZ will offer a special discount for our 8 week new beginners course of only $40. We always lead the way!

Please speak to any of your friends and family who might be interested in starting. Perhaps they may have tried it elsewhere and they may have not liked it, or perhaps they could not cope!! Suggest they give us a try. Our teaching methods are different.
The ZOOZ teachers (Richelle, Belinda and Cindy) are beginner's specialists. We love to teach NEW beginners and we love to see them attain the highest possible skills of Israeli dancing, thereby enabling them to have years and years of great fun and fitness! Our regular dancers advance quickly to higher levels.

We really need your support in order to make these beginners classes a success. Word of mouth is the BEST form of advertising!

2. REVISION WORKSHOP FOR BEGINNERS:

The inaugural revision workshop dedicated to new beginners to beginners plus, will be held on

Sunday August 17th from 11 am (sharp) - 1 pm at the Scout Hall, 2 Miller St. Elsternwick.

The first hour will be reviewing the basic steps. The second hour will be revision of some of the new dances that many missed whilst away overseas or travelling around Australia.

Cost $9 for full workshop. $6 for only 1 hour. Includes morning tea.

Everyone is very welcome, but the teaching will be structured to cater for beginners.

3. ZOOZ's 3rd BIRTHDAY PARTY!!   hip hip hooray!

Thursday evening, 4th September -

7.30 PM to 11.30 PM. Rear of St John's, 5 Finch Street, East Malvern

  The party will be open to ALL LEVELS (new beginners through to advanced)

Please wear ZOOZ colours - ie. any combination of red, white and black.
For catering purposes, please let us know if you are planning to bring anyone.

NB. From 7.30 PM - 8 PM, we will be exclusively dancing beginners dances, but after 8 PM until supper, we will be playing a mix of beginners, intermediate and advanced dances - circles, partners and lines for all to enjoy.

4. Last but certainly not least.....

ZOOZ's 2nd ANNUAL CAMP -

Friday 12th September to Sunday 14th September.

Accommodation is at the lovely Nepean Country Club, Brown's Rd Rosebud. Excellent facilities at this resort for non-dancers to enjoy.

THEME: WIZARD OF ZOOZ. Please dress as a character from the Wizard of Oz, (Dorothy, good witch, bad witch, wizard, munchkin, scarecrow, lion, tin man etc.) or if you wish, just wear rainbow colours.

Some of the various packages available are:

Full weekend (full accommodation, meals, morning, afternoon teas and supper and all the dance workshops and Saturday night party)

Overnight plus Saturday workshops (one night's accommodation, all meals, morning and afternoon tea on Saturday,

Saturday workshops only, including morning & afternoon tea & lunch.

You will find our camp is very reasonably priced considering the quality of the accommodation and facilities available at the resort. Self-contained apartments with either kingsize, queensize, or 2 single beds, ensuites, (no bunks!!)
