Our Purim Party (14th March) was a tremendous success. We were really pleased to see so many of our NEW beginners (Level 1) and beginners (Level 2) come along and enjoy the party. As time goes on, at each party we will be holding during the year, you will be able to participate in more and more dancing, as your repertoire grows.
We had a wonderful turn out (60 people) – a good blend of our new beginners through to advanced dancers. The ZOOZ team had a very difficult task in selecting the best costume for the night. Congratualtions to our winner, Margaret Perry from the Tuesday night class (New Beginners to Low-Intermediate) who was fabulously dressed as a colourful clown. You looked terrific! Our equal runners up were Doris Imber, (very creatively dressed as an “Open Crepe Vine”, with plates such as ‘Crepes ZOOZette’ hanging from the vines) and Margot Pogos (flower child hippy complete with all the accessories!) Check out the photos to get a look at the thought and creativity that went into putting together the costumes!
Apart from a short supper break, we danced the night away with a mixture of circles, lines and partner dances, catering for all levels. Belinda taught us all a very simple, fun partner dance especially for Purim. It was a really great night, and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. Thank you to everyone for coming and helping to create such a lovely atmosphere of fun and frivolity. We look forward to more wonderful parties with you in the near future.
P.S. The next one will be Yom Ha’atzmaut – Israel’s Independence Day celebration, in May. |
