ZOOZ Camp Timetable PDF Print E-mail
Here is a run down of the format for our camp:
Friday 27th April - check in time at Nepean Country Club -  after 3 pm.  You will have a few hours to enjoy the resort before dinner. Or, you could drive down to the hall after 5 pm to help us put up some decorations!
Our Shabbat dinner will be at Fingal's Restaurant (on site)  commencing at 7 pm. SHARP. Please note: this restaurant is fully licensed. There will be a corkage charge for BYO. We will provide the Shabbat wine of course. There will be some singing and a fun quiz. Relax and get yourself ready for an amazing weekend!
Session 1 will commence at 9 pm at the St Andrew's dance hall. (a new circle and a partner dance will be taught)
Supper will be served around 11pm. at the hall.
After the dance session concludes (after midnight), for the night owls there will be a conference room available back at Nepean Country Club for shmoozing and relaxing. We will provide tea/coffee/biscuits.
Saturday 28th April - a continental breakfast will be provided in your own unit. Eat at your own leisure. (there are excellent kitchen facilities in your unit) If you also wish to order a hot breakfast (eg. eggs) you must order them on Friday night. There will be an additional charge of approx $5.50. If you have any dietary requirements you are able to bring your own breakfast items if necessary as there is a fridge in the room. There is a kiosk/cafe on site that is open for several hours a day that sells lollies, chockies, newspapers  and items of toiletries you may have forgotten to bring. They also make cappucino's.
A special beginners session will commence at the dance hall at 9.30 am SHARP until 10 am. A brand new dance for beginners will be taught. Anyone who wants to attend is more than welcome.
Session 2 - 10 am - 1 pm.  2 circle dances and 1 partner dance will be taught.  NB. The level of the dances taught at the open sessions will be most suited to intermediate to advanced dancers. However, beginners are encouraged to join in as much as possible. We will be playing some of the beginners repertoire mixed in with intermediate and advanced dances. Morning tea will be served approx 11.30 am
LUNCH WILL BE SERVED AT 1 PM (for dancers only)
Important: If non-dancers wish to join us for lunch, we need to know in advance for catering purposes.
An additional payment will have to be made.
1.45 pm -  2.15 pm Beginners dance session - includes revision of new dance.
Session 3 - 2.15 pm - 5.15 pm. 2 intermediate/advanced circles and 1 partner dance will be taught.
Afternoon tea will be served at the hall at approx 3.45 pm.
Those who do not do partner dancing, may wish to return to the resort for extra free time to enjoy the Club's facilities and to get ready for the Saturday night party - theme - The Groovy 60's. Come to dinner in your fancy dress!!
Dinner on Saturday night will be at Fingal's Restaurant (at the Nepean Country Club) at 7 pm. sharp.
Session 4 - Commencing 9 pm - 10.30 pm. at the St Andrew's Recreation Hall - 1960's Dance Party!! Non-Israeli dancers are strongly encouraged to participate. Special surprise!
Israeli dancing will commence at approx 10.30 pm until ????
Supper will be served at approx 11.30 pm
The Conference Room at the Nepean Country Club will be available from 11.30 pm for anyone wanting to "shmooze" and just chill out.  Tea/coffee/biscuits will be available. (for dancers/non-dancers)
Please note   Non-dancers have not been charged for morning/afternoon teas, lunch or supper on Saturday because these all take place at the dance hall. However, they are more than welcome to join us if they wish, but an additional charge will have to be made. We also need to know in advance - particularly for lunch catering purposes.
Sunday 29th April - a continental breakfast will be provided in your own unit. Eat at your own leisure.
NB. Check out of your unit before 11am.
Session 5  - 9.30 am - 10 am - special beginners session (all welcome)
10 am - 1 pm - REVIEW OF ALL DANCES TAUGHT.  (We may also teach a new dance if we have time!) Morning tea (for dancers) will be served at the hall at approx 11.30 am.
The workshop concludes at 1 pm. We would love some people to help us with removing all the decorations and cleaning up if you can stay behind a little longer. After we have finished cleaning up, we will probably be going in to either Rye for lunch. Anyone who wishes to join us is more than welcome.

We don't want you miss out on this history making event for any reason!!!  Please feel free to pass on this information to your friends, particularly those who dance elsewhere, as unfortunately many may not even be aware of it. Everyone from all the dance clubs in Melbourne, are very welcome to join us!
