WHAT AN INCREDIBLE NIGHT IT WAS!!!! Attended by just on 100 people, our 1st Birthday party fundraiser on Thursday 7th September was certainly a party to remember! It truly was a fabulous night of celebration, fun, warmth and harmony. We raised a final total of $1,115 and just couldn't be prouder. The proceeds are already on the way to Kibbutz Kishorit. Photos of the night can be viewed by clicking on our 'Photo Gallery' link right here or to the left of the page.
Thank you to Helena & Robin Cyprys who donated the birthday cake made by Unger's Catering. Thank you to Claude for the amazing decorations once again, that really set the scene for a great atmosphere.(All done without a ladder - required incredible engineering skills!) Thank you to Doris Imber for her very creative speech, gifts, and presentation and to Martin Imber as well as Suzy & Jack for taking such an abundance of wonderful photographs on the night. Thank you to Suzy, Jack, Cindy, Sam and Gracie for everything you continually do behind the scenes to keep our classes and parties running smoothly. A special thank you also to our two Sandras (the 'Sandrim' as we call them - "Sandrot" doesn't sound quite right!) who delighted in helping out in the kitchen on the night. They were not in fact caterers as many of you thought but rather two dancers from our Tuesday night beginners class that just took it upon themselves to generously help out as much as they could. Thank you to those of you who contributed food for supper. Thank you to our two ZOOZ regulars that anonymously donated extremely generous amounts of money towards the cause. You know who you are. Thank you to Ann & Henry and Ruth & Michael for your donations in lieu of being able to attend on the night. Thank you to Tonia Komesaroff (UIA liaison) who came especially on the night to address the crowd and show us a short, heart-rendering video presentation all about the very special Kibbutz Kishorit and its very special people. If you weren't at the party to see this you can still read about it by clicking on the following link: Kibbutz Kishorit . Most importantly thanks to all the dancers and friends who came to help us celebrate. You are all very special to us and your support and enthusiasm is much appreciated. We hope you had a great time!
