Our 1st camp (attended by 80 participants in total) was a bigger success than we could ever have imagined! In a nutshell it was the perfect combination of luxurious resort-style accommodation, a spacious dance hall, copious and good quality meals and snacks, great non-cliquey company with a lovely group of people, an indescribable "ruach" (energy/fun) from start to finish, an embracing 60’s theme, some surprise Rock’n Roll lessons, some surprise skits and a of course, the dancing workshops which introduced a fabulous mix of new dances.
The hall was decorated in bright 60’s style peace banners, hand-made paper flowers and an assortment of authentic 60s clothes and fabrics. The dining area that adjoins the dance hall was large and accommodating and led out on to a wide sunny decking (perfect for the glorious weather we had) overlooking the beautiful countryside.
You can view some great snapshots of the weekend in our Photo Gallery. There are of course also photos of everyone in their 60’s gear on Saturday night, photos of couples learning Rock N’Roll, photos of the ZOOZ staff performing the "ZOOZ’n Family" skit (to the Addams Family) and photos of the women dancers performing the ‘burn the bra’ ritual which shocked the men just as we had intended!
